Uncle Jason gifted Matthew with this mustache and it was a hit for about a day.





We had a comic book convention come into town a few weeks ago and we took the kids because we figured Matthew would enjoy it. It was interesting, but I will say that there were too many weirdos and not enough Star Wars. I never thought I'd say that.

A while back I posted a link to Matthew's 1 year pictures and there was a picture of him in midair falling down a hill with Gilbert sliding down the hill behind him to catch him. We got this picture of him conquering that same hill.



It's getting HOT here. The humidity hasn't been too bad yet, but it's been about 100 for several days. It must be summer.









Gilbert's mom bought this for the kids over the weekend. Poor Gilbert had to put it together, but the kids are loving it. I'm still blown away by her generosity.







The only one of my kids to like beans. She got to try black beans today and I think she really liked them. She must be the Guatemalan one of the bunch.

Everyone crashed while watching VeggieTales

We've been up and down around here for the last 2 weeks and I think the 4 of us have some serious cabin fever. There's never a dull moment around here. I don't know what I did before I had my silly monkeys.

I took advantage on Mother's Day and dressed my girls up. Matthew was wearing a cute shirt with a heart on it that said "Mom" but he wasn't up to posing for me.







Then Elise asked if we could take a picture together



Jason bought this hat for Elise's birthday and I love it. She's cute. I'm also hoping I can get Viv to wear it at her party.

My girl has started cruising and I'm not entirely sure I'm ready for it. I try to avoid thinking about her birthday being right around the corner. I sent the evites out today. I guess there's really no way around it.

Viviana's first experience on grass. She kept trying to eat it. I swear that kid puts everything in her mouth. We were watching the boys wash the car and we did manage to get sprayed a couple of times.

We're trying to get Viviana to drop a nap right now and she's actually been handling it extremely well. I think a number of things contributed to a melt down this morning which ultimately led to this:



As I said, it hurts to think her birthday is just 2 weeks away so I didn't fight it. I ate it up. I'm not ready for my little girl to turn 1. It's gone by way too fast.

Uncle Nik has been in town for the last 2 weeks. He's been on leave and we've spent most of his visit being lazy. This week we decided to get out, though, and we took the kids to the Children's Museum. The kids had fun =)

They weren't sure what the projector was supposed to do but they sure did try to figure it out.
