We're still running around trying to prepare for our trip to California... and when we're not physically running around my mind won't stop running trying to figure out how we're going to pull all of this off with 3 small children. It's going to be an adventure =). I'm so excited to see everyone.

I needed to get out of the house this morning so I took the kids to the park. Elise surprised me. She went down the slides all by herself without having to be prompted. She said "wheeeeeeee" all the way down, too =). She's a brave girl =). Matthew pretended that the playscape was his pirate ship.











She liked it so much she wanted to go right back down it. I had to explain to her that she had to walk around and go up the steps again.



California a week from tomorrow! Next week will be busy with all of our last minute preparations... Oh boy...

Well, we've been getting ready for our California trip. We've done a lot of shopping and we've been trying to figure out all of the details. We even had a camp out in the living room last week to see how the toddlers would do if we all slept in the same room. After that camp out I decided I needed to track down a play pen for Elise to sleep in, too =). I will say that the kids did better than I expected them too. Although it did take Matthew a while to fall asleep and he spent the better part of that time poking me as I was trying to fall asleep. Silly boy. We're headed to California for Gilbert's mom's wedding and the kids are in the wedding so we've been shopping for their outfits. I'm pretty excited to see them in their cute outfits. Elise isn't so excited to wear her outfit, but our diva will have to deal for a night =)

Elijah and Amelia came over for a playdate the other day. The kids had a blast. So did the mommies. Of course we couldn't pass up a photo op to record how big the girls are getting.

We had small group the other night and one of the girls brought a tres leches cake. I'm not a big fan of tres leches, but this cake was so good. Elise got to dig in to a piece of her own =)

Matthew is really excited about Halloween coming up and he's already starting to wear his costume around the house. I have the feeling Elise is really going to resent me that night for making her dress up. Oh well. At least she'll look cute =)

There's never a dull moment in this house. Even if we don't get out much and there's nothing to exciting to share, there's always someone saying something funny, someone getting hurt, someone needing a diaper change... never a dull moment.

I love this little girl so much. About as much as I love the other 2. It's ridiculous.



I finally got her to wear the top! Yay!





Then another cold front came through and I had to dig through their clothes to find something suitable for the cooler weather. I love seeing my kids in hoodies =)

Viviana finally got to try out the Bumbo. As soon as I put her down Matthew asked me to get the camera and take a picture of the three of them.





Gilbert was doing some work at the Space Center last week and he asked me to bring the kids by after their nap so they could walk around for a bit. They had a lot of fun and I had never been there before. They had a Lego exhibit and the kids spent a good amount of time looking at that.

Viviana had her 4 month check up last week and she weighed in at 14lbs 9oz. A far cry from 5lbs 13oz at birth. Poor thing also had an ear infection and I had no idea. She's a trooper. I love how chunky she's getting =)







Well, we're headed out to California next month! We'll be there for a wedding, but we're looking forward to also trying to squeeze time in with our friends. It will be the first time we've been back since June 2008 and the first time our families will meet the girls. We're excited =)
