Nap time is a wonderful, wonderful thing. I've managed to get all 3 kids napping at the same time for now. That will change once Viviana drops a nap, but for now, I am taking full advantage of it.

Matthew had his first MLB experience. Gilbert and Matthew met up with the Stewarts over at Minute Maid park for an Astros game. Matthew and Elijah had a ton of fun and Gilbert was able to capture some of that fun =)

Don't worry, I was stopped at a red light when I took those pictures.

As is the norm around here, we haven't been getting out much. I'm just waiting for the fall weather to roll in so the kids and I can get out a little more comfortably. I've also been itching to do some more sewing but I haven't been able to get up the energy to pull my sewing machine out. Although I may have just found some inspiration to finally do it =)

UPDATE

Our frog weighed in at 12lbs even today at 2.5 months. She's more than doubled her birth weight. I think Elise weighed 10 lbs at 2 months and I'm pretty sure Matthew weighed 12lbs months.

Just for fun here are the pictures I mentioned in my previous post. Matthew and Viviana's were both taken at 2 months and Elise's was taken at 3 months. =)

The 4 of us will be leaving shortly to head to Viviana's 2 month check up. We had a big, big mix up with Siemens and she didn't have health insurance for about a month and a half. We've only known about this for 2 weeks. Yay. Well, yesterday we found out she's finally covered again! Woo hoo! Poor thing has no clue what she's in for today.

Matthew loves his backpack and Elise loves her purse. I can understand why Matthew would want to take his backpack everywhere seeing as I use a big backpack as a diaper bag, but I still have absolutely no idea where Elise picked up these mannerisms with her purse. I don't carry a purse. I didn't even buy her this purse. Vicki did.

I think he told me he was going to school

Such a girl

We're often greeted by the sight of Matthew coming down with a new toy when he wakes up in the morning or after his nap. Every now and then he'll do something really silly. Like this.

Early morning fun with our Viviana frog. Her right eye is a bit crusty thanks to the virus that Jason brought home and everyone except Gilbert managed to catch it. I think Matthew and Viviana had the mildest cases. Elise and I are still fighting it. Jason, however, still sounds almost as bad as he did when he came down with it a week ago.

I can't believe he's going to be 3 next month.

You'll hear me ask about the fish on her shirt because she had just been pointing to it saying "fish fish", but she wouldn't do it for the camera.

I have a picture like this with all 3 kids at about this age =)

My kids love each other. If you look closely you can actually see Elise drool on Viviana when she leans over her to say "hello".

Viviana "talking" to her loud siblings. You may have to listen pretty carefully to hear her cooing, but she's doing it. I also love the way Matthew says, "No, that's Viviana!" Ha.

After a very busy weekend Gilbert and I were rewarded with a 3.5 hour nap time. Unfortunately, neither one of us slept, but the kids were knocked out. We decided to watch our latest Netflix delivery.

The craziness started on Thursday when we decided to head over to Kelly and Marianne's house to meet their little guy, Judah. Friday was our friend Brenae's birthday party. We spent Saturday with Elijah and his family. Yesterday morning was, of course, church and then Gilbert humored me and helped me do the grocery shopping so I wouldn't be loading and unloading 3 kids and groceries by myself when the heat index is 105.

Elise has gotten a lot of hand-me-downs from Charlie. The latest is a lawn gnome costume. I couldn't get her to wear the whole thing, but I was at least able to get a picture of the hat.

Playing together before church last Sunday

I love, love, love this tutu. I got her to smile by singing "If you're happy and you know it". That's also why she's clapping =)

Last Sunday our church had a bbq and it sounded like a lot of fun until we realized just how hot it was supposed to be that day. However, they were going to be doing some baptisms at the bbq and since our friends Jimmy and Mari were in town we decided we needed to go. Jimmy and Mari's 2 older kids decided they wanted to be baptized while they were here. We definitely didn't want to miss that. Once we found a spot and set up we sat the kids down so they could eat dinner. We didn't let Elise get up to run around once and she still managed to end up looking like this.

Photobucket

Poor thing looked pretty miserable.

He's so confident, it's almost as if he thinks he owns the place.

No matter how many times I tell her she's going to get stuck, she just doesn't listen.

A rare picture of all 3 kids together

I'm so glad my kids entertain each other. They both thought this was hilarious.

I don't think Elise has ever looked so much like me. This is totally a mommy face.

Brenae turned 21 and to celebrate the theme of the party was black and white. Kids were welcome, but the dress code applied. Sounds perfect for the Saldanas, doesn't it? I didn't really *need* to buy anything, but I wanted to find something dark for Elise to wear with her little white tank. I lucked out and found a black tutu at Target. Matthew has plenty of black shirts, but I wanted to dress it up a little so I ended up making this little shirt for him. Their outfits were a hit.

Our first picture as a family of 5. Sad that it took so long.

We finally turned Elise's car seat around. She wasn't as thrilled as we expected. I don't really think it fazed her at all.

Photobucket

Elijah's family used to live less than 20 miles away just outside of downtown Houston. 2 years ago they bought a piece of land up in Spring, about 50 miles north of us, and they moved into their new house just over a week ago. It now takes us an hour to get up there so we decided that if we were going to drive up there we'd make the most of it and stay all day. It worked out really well for the most part. Elise refused to nap, but other than that, it was a lot of fun. Gilbert spend most of the time there helping Bruce put together Ikea furniture.

We managed to get both boys to nap! In the same bed! It was too cute.

I'm hoping this week and weekend are fairly uneventful. It's just too hot to have to take the kids anywhere by myself. I can't wait for winter =).
