It's been a big week in Matthew's life. We have a crawler! It's not his preferred way of getting around yet but he did it. He has also started pulling up on things onto his knees and he's going from laying down to sitting up on his own. I've been uploading the video of him crawling all afternoon. Apparently the site I'm using has had some insane traffic tonight and it's literally taken about 5 hours to get it online. So, here are some pictures while I finish waiting for the video to upload.

Matthew tried avocado for the first time and he wasn't a big fan of it. I will be giving it to him again in hopes that he'll take to it. Here's the picture

And here's the video of the avocado

So the Celtics and the Lakers in the finals means that the entire family gets Celtics jerseys. Here's a picture of the three of us in our jerseys. Matthew was trying to get down and move around. Don't mind my big hair. I'm trying to nurse it back to health since I know I won't be able to avoid curly hair in the humidity.

The Celtics won as I typed that.

Matthew and Gilbert were hard at work yesterday morning.

Auntie Val got Matthew this shirt when he was a month old and it finally fits. Our kid is so cute.

Here's a video of Gilbert making Matthew laugh.

We're back! My brother is married. I have a new sister. The weirdest thing... we came to the realization that we're definitely Texans now. Being in California was strange. We were both ready to come home not long after we got there. We did enjoy seeing the family and friends we had time to see. Matthew didn't do well with the busy schedule at all. I don't think I've ever seen him so unhappy. Poor thing. He was tired all week, he only got a couple of good naps while we were there, and he didn't recognize anyone who tried to hold him. Hopefully Gilbert and I will handle all of that better when we go back in 3 weeks.

Gilbert and I decided to get Matthew's hair cut while we were there. We kept it long, but we trimmed all of the super long hair in the back and evened out the top. It definitely looks neater. He did so good during the haircut, too.

Well, we got home around 1:30PM our time and our friends, Bruce, Vicki, and Elijah picked us up from the airport. Bruce is so thoughtful that he took the time to make signs for his car to welcome us home. I wish I had thought to take a picture of them. The said, "Seat reserved for Lakers fans only". We laughed and then threw them away. Matthew and Elijah enjoyed the ride back to our house together.

I think the anticipation of flying by myself with Matthew today has me up early. We have a stop in Phoenix. This should be interesting. I woke up at 4:30... which isn't so bad... but then I realize that that's 2:30 California time and I think I'm going to be paying for it later today. Hopefully Matthew will cooperate and nap on one of the flights.

Well, here's home. We don't have pictures of our bedroom, the empty bedroom upstairs, or the bathrooms (who wants to see bathrooms anyway?). I was packing when Gilbert was taking pictures so our room was a total mess. So... We are the Saldanas and welcome to our crib (sorry, I had to):
